Selected poetry — Roman Urdu
Jaane na jaane gul hi na jaane, bagh to sara jaane hai
Aashiq sa to saada koi aur na hoga duniya mein
Jee ke ziyan ko ishq mein us ke apna wara jaane hai
Chara-gari beemari-e-dil ki rasm-e-shahr-e-husn nahin
Warna dilbar-e-nadan bhi is dard ka chara jaane hai
